1: Basecoat piece Black and "smack-dab" Premier Gold and Gold on plate. Add Leather Brown to color and "smack-dab" in small sections. Add a wash of Premier Gold to make veins on plate.Step
2: Basecoat with Leather Brown and wet-brush with Toast. Paint tail and mane with Black. Highlight area with Finger-Tip Copper. Shade areas Black to show separation and muscle tone on horse.
Step 3: Spray with Matte Spray Sealer.

Step 1: Clean greenware and fire to Cone 03.
Step 2: Add washes of any color designer glaze you select to top and bottom of box. Let colors run
randomly to give a marble look. The colors can overlap. Apply 2 coats of Clear Glaze to top, bottom and inside of box. Be sure to go around the horse with the Clear Glaze. Fire to Cone 05.
Step
3: Basecoat horse with Leather Brown and wet-brush Toast to highlight. Paint mane black and shade eyes and nose with Black. Paint markings with White. Paint iris with Leather Brown and pupil Black.
Step 4: Brush Gloss-It on horse.

Step 1: Clean greenware carefully and Fire to Cone 03.
Step 2: Basecoat entire piece with Black. Wet-brush piece with Real Brown and then again with Toast.
Step 3: Apply a random wash of Leather Brown to wood areas. Wet-brush wood randomly
with Dark Gray and then highlight same areas with Cream. Shade driftwood with a Black wash by loading a 1/2" shader brush.
Step 4: Wet-brush inside ears, around eyes, muzzle and under neck of deer with
Cream. Paint eyes Toast with Black pupils and nose. Add a White highlight to eyes. Shade deer with Black. Wet-brush antlers with Medium Brown and tips of antlers with Cream. Spray with Matte Spray
Sealer.

and then antique with Soft Brown Antiquing. Wipe back with a soft cloth.
Step 2: Basecoat rest of piece with Black. (Except dog.) Basecoat dog Cream. Wet-brush Black areas with Real Brown.
Wet-brush wood with Toast and then Dark Gray. Highlight wood with Soft Brown.
Step 3: Wet-brush pants with Medium Brown. Wet-brush shirt with Country Blue and jacket and hat with Leather Brown.
Add Terra Cotta to same brush and wet-brush jacket and hat again. Paint stock of rifle with Leather Brown. Paint barrel of gun Black.
Step 4: Wet-brush dog with White and paint Black spots on
dog. Paint dog's collar Leather Brown. Shade entire piece with Black. Spray with Matte Spray Sealer.

Step 3: Wet-brush dog with Flaxon Yellow. Add Cream to same brush and highlight dogs ears, muzzle and above eyes. Eyes are
Mustard with a Toast wash and Black pupil. Add a White highlight. Paint nose Black.
Step 4: Wet-brush ducks head with Shadow Green. Add Cream to same brush and wet-brush head again. Wet-brush neck
with Leather Brown. Paint White ring around neck.
Step 5: Wet-brush rest of duck with Real Brown and then with Medium Brown. Wet-brush belly and underneath wing with Cream. Wet-brush feet with
Rust and add Cream to same brush and highlight feet. Wet-brush beak Mustard with a Toast wash. Duck's eyes are Black with a White highlight. Shade piece with Black. Spray with Matte Spray Sealer.

Step 1: Clean greenware carefully and Fire to Cone 03. Basecoat entire piece with Black.
Step 2: Heavily wet-brush underside of fish with White and basecoat inside mouth White.
Step 3: Wet-brush all of piece, except White areas, with Real Brown. With color still in your brush, add Toast
and wet-brush wood areas again. With color still in your brush, add Fog and wet-brush highlights on wood areas. With Color still in your brush, add Cream and highlight wood again.
Step 4: Wet-brush
fish, except White areas with Grass Green. With color still in your brush, add Mustard and highlight fish. Tint sides of fish with a thin Turquoise wash. Tint bottom of belly, around mouth, inside mouth and around
gills with a Rose wash. Corner-load a 1/2" shader with White and float it around gills. Lightly tint some of the wood with washes of Rose and Grass Green. Paint eyes Mustard with Black pupils.
Step 5: Shade entire piece as necessary with a Black wash. Paint Black markings along side of fish along line.
Step 6: Spray with Matte Spray Sealer. Apply Gloss-It to eyes.

Horse Lid MATERIALS NEEDED: Greenware, Various Brushes, Matte Spray Sealer. DOC HOLLIDAY COLORS: DH-08 Black, DH-09 Real Brown, DH-18 Medium Brown, DH-37 Cream, DH-49 Premier Gold.
Step 1: Basecoat box Medium Brown.
Step 2: Use 3/4" Smack-Dab brush dipped in Real Brown, Medium Brown, Cream and then in Premier Gold lightly, dab these colors on box, not horse. Use more Cream
around horse. Use Premier Gold for cracked lines on box lined with Black. Paint horse Real Brown, shade with Black.
Step 3: Spray with Matte Spray Sealer.

lined with Black. Paint horses Black.

Step 2: Basecoat deer and owl Black. Wet-brush
them with Real Brown. Deer: Wet-brush again with Toast then highlight lightly with Sand. Wet-brush antlers with Sand and highlight with Cream. Wet-brush neck, ears, muzzle and around eyes with White.
Paint eyes Real Brown with Black pupils. Paint nose Black. Shade deer with a Black wash. Owl: Wet-brush with Medium Brown; highlight lightly with Sand. Wet-brush around eyes and markings on chest
feathers with White. Float a wash of Mustard around eyes; paint eyes Mustard. Shade around eyes and body as necessary with a Black wash.
Step 3: Spray with Matte Spray Sealer.
