SMALL INDIAN SCOUT - DH2331
MATERIALS AND COLORS NEEDED: DH08 Black, DH09 Real Brown, DH10 Mustard, DH12 Leather Brown, DH18 Medium Brown, DH30 Country Blue, DH37 Cream,
DH42 Dark Gray, DH54 Native American Flesh, AT01 Black Antiquing, AT04 Red Brown Antiquing, SP08 Matte Spray, solvent, chalk
- STEP 1:
Clean greenware and fire to cone 03.
- STEP 2:
Basecoat skin with Native American Flesh and antique with Red Brown. Wipe off with soft cloth.
- STEP 3:
Basecoat horse with Real Brown, highlight with Leather Brown. Paint mane, tail and Indian's hair Black.
- STEP 4:
Wetbrush rocks Dark Gray, add washes of Real Brown, Country Blue, Mustard. Highlight with Cream. Antique rocks and horse with Black. Wipe back with soft cloth and with solvent.
- STEP 5:
Basecoat Indian's clothes with Medium Brown, highlight with Cream. Use Cream to highlight front lap of shirt. Shade with Real Brown. Highlight fringe with Cream.
- STEP 6:
Paint beads and feathers. Look at photo for guide.
- STEP 7:
Paint eyes Black and wash of Leather Brown on lips. Chalk cheeks with russet chalk.
- STEP 8:
Spray with Matte Spray.

MATERIALS AND COLORS NEEDED: DH04 True Red, DH08 Black, DH09 Real Brown, DH10 Mustard, DH12 Leather Brown, DH16 Flaxon Yellow, DH25 Toast,
DH30 Country Blue, DH37 Cream, DH54 Native American Flesh, AT04 Red Brown Antiquing, SP08 Matte Spray, russet chalk
- STEP 1:
Clean greenware and fire to cone 03.
- STEP 2:
Basecoat skin with Native American Flesh. Antique with Red Brown.
- STEP 3:
Basecoat wings and rocks Black. Wetbrush large feathers Leather Brown, and smaller feathers Toast, tip wings Black and shade feathers with Black.
- STEP 4:
Apply washes of Toast, Country Blue, and Mustard to rocks. Highlight with Cream. Shade rocks with Black.
- STEP 5:
Paint fringe, cloth and moccasins with Leather Brown. Highlight with True Red. Shade with Real Brown. Paint beads (refer to photo).
- STEP 6:
Basecoat eagles head White, beak Flaxon Yellow. Shade around beak with Toast and Mustard. Paint hair on Indian Black. Apply a thin wash of Leather Brown on lips. Paint eyebrows
Black and iris and eagle's eyes Black also. Chalk skin with russet chalk.
- STEP 7:
Spray with Matte Spray.

MATERIALS AND COLORS NEEDED: DH08 Black, DH10 Mustard, DH12 Leather Brown, DH25 Toast, DH27 Midnight Blue, DH29 White, DH30 Country Blue,
DH37 Cream, DH54 Native American Flesh, AT04 Red Brown Antiquing, SP08 Matte Spray, russet chalk
- STEP 1:
Clean greenware and fire to cone 03.
- STEP 2:
Basecoat skin Native American Flesh. Antique with Red Brown.
- STEP 3:
Basecoat wings and rocks Black. Wetbrush large feathers on wings Leather Brown, and smaller feathers Toast. Tip wings with Black and shade feathers Black.
- STEP 4:
Apply washes of Leather Brown, Mustard, Country Blue on rocks and highlight with Cream. Shade rocks with Black.
- STEP 5:
Basecoat dress and fringe with Cream and highlight with White. Same with moccasin. Shade fringe with Midnight Blue.
- STEP 6:
Paint beads on moccasin, belt, and earrings according to photo.
- STEP 7:
Paint hair Black. Apply a thin wash of Leather Brown on lips. Paint iris Black and eyebrows Black. Chalk cheeks with russet chalk.
- STEP 8:
Spray with Matte Spray.

Suede, DH54 Native American Flesh, AT04 Red Brown Antiquing, SP08 Matte Spray, russet chalk. solvent
- STEP 1:
Clean greenware and fire to cone 03.
- STEP 2:
Basecoat skin with Native American Flesh. Basecoat dress with Bone. Antique skin and dress with Red Brown, wipe off with a soft cloth. Use solvent to remove excess antiquing on skin and
dress.
- STEP 3:
Wetbrush Blue Suede on top band of dress and earrings and highlight with Cream. Wetbrush rest of dress with Bone, highlight fringe with Cream. Shade fringe with Medium Brown. Paint beads
(refer to photo).
- STEP 4:
Basecoat rock with Black, add washes of Toast, Blue Suede and Mustard. Highlight with Cream. Shade with Black.
- STEP 5:
Basecoat hair Black. Eyelashes and eyebrows Black. Apply thin wash of Leather Brown on lips. Chalk cheeks with russet chalk.
- STEP 6:
Spray with Matte Spray.
SMALL INDIAN CHIEF - DH2335 MATERIALS AND COLORS NEEDED:

- STEP 1:
Clean greenware and fire to cone 03.
- STEP 2:
Basecoat skin with Native American Flesh, antique with Red Brown. Wipe off with a soft cloth.
- STEP 3:
Basecoat horse and chief's head piece White. Apply marking on horse with Leather Brown and shade with Real Brown. Tip ends of feathers with Black on head piece.
- STEP 4:
Basecoat Indian's clothes with Medium Brown and shade with Real Brown. Highlight fringe with Cream. Basecoat blanket True Red and highlight with Christmas Red.
- STEP 5:
Basecoat rocks Black. Wetbrush rocks Dark Gray and add washes of Toast and Mustard. Highlight with Cream. Shade with Black.
- STEP 6:
Refer to photo to decorate beads.
- STEP 7:
Apply thin wash of Leather Brown to lips and paint iris Black. Chalk skin with russet chalk.
- STEP 8:
Spray with Matte Spray.
FOR ALL ROUGH CUTS MATERIALS NEEDED: Brushes, Bisque, DH55 Roughcut Bronze, AT01 Black Translucent, FT02 Fingertip Gold, FT04 Fingertip Burnished Gold, FT05 Fingertip Copper, SP08 Matte Spray
Basecoat entire piece with Roughcut Bronze.
STEP 2: Antique entire piece with Black Translucent. Work on a small area at a time so translucent does not dry out before you wipe the excess away. Let dry.
STEP 3: Apply Fingertip Gold, Burnished Gold, and Copper as desired for a metallic effect.
STEP 4: Spray with Matte Spray sealer.
